As a native of Wyoming, Edie has been inspired by nature from a small child. painting wildlife is her passion and a hope of bringing attention to the peaceful side of nature and the beauty that surrounds us. Through her choice of color and design, it is her intent to create a unique story that will leave a lasting impression on the viewer. She can be drawn to a subject at a moment's notice and is driven to reveal an inner story, working continuously until the tale unfolds. And only then can she take a moment to sit back and reflect upon what the canvas portrays, hoping that others will find there own story within the paint strokes.
Edie has no formal training, yet she experiences success selling her art. She has recently ventured into art competitions, winning Special Recognition and Merit awards. She continues to challenger her self by taking individual requests for her art. She finds it stimulating to create something unique for these clients by envisioning her art made from their words and mementos. Recently she prepared a painting that was more significant than she had realized. After being presented with this distinctive painting, Edie' s client stated, 'You captured everything I wanted as a remembrance of my mom!' what more could any artist ask for? This moment of expressed gratitude served as a pivot point in her career. Edie realized she needed to share her talent with a larger audience.
