Born in France, I have lived in the United-States since 2015. I took an artist name when I arrived in the US and registered my business in 2018 as Eima BLANK. I had a very classic learning. School of Fine Art in Tours, France for 3 years in the 80s then high school for 3 years to become a technician in applied arts. I later enrolled in a school of architecture and graduated as an 'ethno-architect' in 1995. I have never tried to be a professional artist until covid-19. The shelter in place gave me this deep reflection into a change of career and I took the opportunity to develop my website, buy materials and paint.
I use all sorts of techniques, but my best results are with color pens, alcohol pens, watercolors and acrylic. I only use oil outdoors. I also mix techniques to paint on fabrics and on polymer clay. I try to keep a rhythm of one drawing a day and I have several larger art projects to develop art series with a more philosophical perspective. My Patreons can follow my evolution with daily posts of my drawings.
Fine Art America gives me the opportunity to offer a wider range of techniques, including digital media. You will find in my galleries both original artwork and Photoshop versions where I mix my drawings into various compositions and styles. My goal is to find my style, my personality and make a living from my art as a professional artist. You will find in the gallery the artwork I make for a living, because I know people might buy it, and artwork I make for my own satisfaction because it eludes part of my thoughts. I hope you enjoy it and don't forget to subscribe to my newsletter on eimablank.com.
