Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Elisabeth Trostli moved to New York in 1961. She received her artistic education at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, majoring in Illustration and Education, attaining a BFA in ’72 degree and an MAE in ’76. Since 1981, Elisabeth Trostli has been a successful free-lance artist and designer in Rhode Island, serving the advertising, stationery and giftware industries.
Since moving to Sarasota in 2011, Elisabeth has truly unleashed her creativity. She combines her passion for tropical flora, antiques, travel and historical decorative arts in the creation of a series of sensual botanical paintings.
GALLERY OF MASQUES consists of original, and highly detailed digital paintings evoke the fantastical masks of Mardi Gras, the Italian Carnevale in Venice, the circus, fractal geometry, steampunk and Oriental themes.
