Gary M. Long is an academically trained professional artist who paints in a post impressionistic realistic American style. His subjects range from the classic landscape tradition with figurative representation to formal portraiture. Painting since his youth, Gary is inspired by the more complex compositional lighting conditions that can be found in nature. He begins each painting 'en plein air' and finishes them in his Long Island Studio.
