Gerald 'Jerry' Blaine was born in Boise, Idaho. He soon moved to Colorado where he attended Englewood High School in Englewood, Colorado, and graduated in 1950. He is a veteran of the Korean War. Upon discharge, he graduated from the University of Colorado. After graduation, he joined the United States Secret Service and served under three presidents on the White House Detail. (Dwight D.Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson). He also retired from IBM and ARCO International Oil Company, where he served as an international security expert.
He authored a book with Lisa McCubbin called “The Kennedy Detail”, which covered the Kennedy administration from the election until the tragic assassination, and its aftermath. The book was a New York Times best seller.
Jerry has traveled extensively throughout the world in his professional life as an international security specialist. Retired, he currently lives in Grand Junction, Colorado, with his wife, Joyce. He has enjoyed photography as a hobby, but it is now his full time interest. His specialty is landscape, nature, and wild life. He also has a collection of photographs from his travels throughout the world.
When he retired, he returned to the West to enjoy and capture the beauty of the mountains, nature, seasons, and the terrain. He also focuses on the Old West and its traditions. When he has the opportunity to travel abroad, he also carries the camera.
The primary target of his lens is to focus on the natural beauty of the West and the World.
