My vocation in life has been Chemistry but, somehow along the way I adopted Art as an avocation, studying under the aegis of William Yarnell who lived in Middlesboro, Kentucky and painted many wonderful rolling hills of that region. When I retired from Chemistry, I enrolled in Charleston University in West Virginia and received a bachelor of Arts degree. Although the University tried to make me an abstractionist, I found that my brushes have tended to wander at will over many subjects and styles. This showing contains some of the results of that wayward brush.more
