Heath Rezabek is an experimental artist, photographer, futurist, and writer living in Austin TX. Aside from being a librarian futurist, he is an intern with the Long Now Foundation, the Texas Ambassador for the Open Knowledge Foundation, and organizer of the FarMaker Interstellar Concept Art Contest.

In the realm of his own visual art, his influences lie in the role of pattern, dream, and memory in the imagination, and in exploring these themes through the media of imagery, soundscape, memento, or the written word. Heath has led writing exercise workshops and collaborative installations, and has exhibited his visual work during the East Austin Studio Tour (EAST 2011) and the West Austin Studio Tour (WEST 2013). He has consulted as an individual creative coach, and is available for commissioned work.

Heath says of his abstract and textured work:

'I am particularly influenced by Carl Jung's technique of Active Imagination, and the efforts of the Surrealists. These images are part of a lifelong exploration of the ways in which different ideas or impressions can layer in the mind. Conflated, they help form particular memories, experiences, or revelations. Some influences are more subtle than others, to the point where you may question them as noise or error. But all are part of the whole; nothing exists in isolation from its causes and surroundings.'
