Herbert uses his multicultural background to display a wide range of subjects and ideas through his works. It is his hope that through his art, writings and music he may contribute to the rich diversity of the creative abundance which surrounds us. Oil paint and pencils are the favored mediums. He likes to think of these as twin mediums as he works to blur the lines between the two. A graduate of NYU, with a degree in the arts, a music scholarship as well as a degree in economics, Herbert balances his artistic endeavors with that of the world of business, which often results in the finest of lines. He has had showings of his work in Europe and the carribean, Herbert is also an active contributor of his works to and for various charities, the latest including the rights of animals. Herbert believes that the human condition and expression is centered in the face and that every face, is the face of humanity...Creativity is an emotion explosion...art is its shrapnel.
