Hollie Leffel was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1980. She is an identical twin and a mother of three, one of which has Aspergers Syndrome. She is completely self taught and began painting after a series of strokes in 2006. She had never painted before the strokes but upon recovery had an urge to paint. It turned out to be a blessing as painting is therapy for both her and her daughter. She loves color and unusual art. She doesn't plan what she paints, rather she lets it paint itself.
