When I work with clay I am reminded that anything is possible. A lump of clay can turn into any size or shape imaginable. The process of working with clay is very humbling; at any point in time I can destroy the piece with the slightest movement, or distort it into something that I might not be able to repeat. When my work is going well, I don’t think twice about my decisions, it is instinctual. I am interested in bridging the gap between being a studio potter and the fine arts world.
