Janet Poirier, grew up in Northern New England and was first influenced artistically by her mother who rendered portraits of her children. She's a self taught artist who began drawing portraits at an early age. For more than 40 years the artist has been creating art, working in various mediums, such as wood, watercolor, pastel, acrylic and now works primarily in oils.
