The Man Who Could Draw Pi: According to mathematician and fractal geometry expert B.B. Mandelbrot, a fractal is "a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole." Federal Way resident Jason Padgett, a student at Tacoma Community College, can draw the fractal equivalent for numbers such as pi (กว) and equations such as Albert Einstein's famous E=mc2.
