JEAN BOURQUE has been an artist at Ward Nasse Gallery in NYC since the 90s. Bourque’s art has been shown at Saatchi Gallery UK, R trade Gallery in the Netherlands, Ward Nasse Gallery NYC and at many other venues. In SC, her work has been shown in several of the museums and art centers, which have resulted in developing collectors. She has had several solo shows in SC at Forest Acres Fine art Center, Theatre Rowe, Artsy Fartsy Gallery, Richland County Public Library, Gotham and Trustus Theater. Her most recent group shows have been at Doster’s Art Studio in Lancaster, SC, Railroad Junction Art Gallery, Art Trail Gallery in Florence, SC and at the Lexington County Library she had three different group shows and at several small venues throughout the state.
Her studio work with the late Guy Lipscomb, Jr. honed her skills in water media painting and art marketing. She studied impressionistic oil painting for over a decade with Ilona Royce Smithken, star of Painting with Ilona (SCETV), pastels with Jason Chang, collage with Gerald Brommer and multi media art with many other talented people. Jean has a degree in Business Management. She has been writing an art blog since 2007. She recently had an article she wrote published in Colored Pencil Magazine May 2013, issue.
