From a young age, Jean knew she was destined to be an artist. En route to a Bachelor of Arts, she practiced several art forms and focused on gold and silversmithing. She was enchanted by the gem stone's rich embodiment of color and the ease of casting metal using fire. She discovered that through glass blowing she would create art that embodies the colors and sculptural elements she loved.
