Biography

Jeanette Sacco-Belli is a San Francisco Bay Area Artist. Her passion for painting began at an early age earning several awards in watercolor and acrylic. As a self-taught painter, she studies through experimentation and by reading many books on different painting techniques. Her love of Nature however is the major motivation for painting. Jeanette finds great pleasure in studying many artists and finds inspiration in the paintings and illustrations of her favorites such as: Michael David Ward, Michael Parks, Josephine Wall, Robert Lyn Nelson, Jody Bergsma, Maxfield Parrish, and Amy Brown.

Jeanette paints in a variety of styles. The majority of works created are in the genres of Realism, Symbolic Art, Fantasy and Spirituality. She enjoys the freedom of creativity from painting to painting and chooses her subject matter most often by what channels through her with the most intensity. Commissioned works also vary in subject and style encompassing seascapes, dreamy landscapes and intimate portraits.

Her paintings usually incorporate a variety of mediums and tools within each work, for example: the textures of trees and rocks are palette knifed with modeling paste, fine portraits are done alla prima or with layers of glazes. To add light and translucency to sky and water, she often uses gel mediums.

Her paintings in the fantasy and mystic genres express images remembered from her personal dreams and meditations. Unity, tranquility and peacefulness are aspects in life she wishes to dwell upon and to share with us through her work.

Jeanette has a deep respect for all life and believes we are completely interconnected in and as One Universal Great Spirit. She feels that all of us (human and non-human ) are relatives and are individual sparks of this One Great Spirit which dwells in us all. It has been her experience that the manner in which we treat each other and all life has an intimate effect upon our own seemingly individual lives.
