I am lucky enough to have gone to school in Montana. I worked in Idaho
and lived in Washington state. The heartland pulled me back though. While I miss the big sky that our American West has to offer in all its abundant coolness,
I keep finding gems here in flyover country that thrill me every bit as much as any Big Sky
landscape ever did. Corn stalk stubs against snow with bright white and brilliant blue backgrounds and strong sharp shadow lines offer intriguing details that grand landscapes never quite offer. And that's my story. Heartland...more
