I was homeless and sleeping rough in 2007, but through workshops at the homeless charity Crisis, I became interested, first in art, and then in photography. I managed to buy a second hand digital compact very cheaply and began to take photos in earnest. In 2009 i had a solo exhibition of my work at Clissold House , Stoke Newington, and having acquired a digital slr, also began a photo project for Crisis, photographing award winners for their Changing Lives Programme.
