My parents enrolled me in oil painting classes as an early teen. My mother was a kindergarten teacher and utilized my talent on bulletins, programs, etc. I painted on canvases, candles, slabs of wood, ceramics, et al. In college I took a couple of art classes to sharpen some skills, but then marriage and family hit. My art was limited to some illustrations for some gospel tracts for a missionary friend in Russia and entertainment for the children I would meet on various mission trips.
