I have been drawing and painting my entire life. After attending Austin Peay State University, where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) with concentration in painting, I worked painting commission portraits and selling prints of my work. When I had small children I taught elementary art where I fell in love with children's art- their spontaneity and joy. I painted a series of works based on my own children's drawings.
