I've done pencil drawings all my life, but only began painting about 5-6 years ago. I'm still trying to find a style I like, and while I find portraits or people to be the most interesting subject, I also like architecture, geometric shapes, and occasionally political/religious humor. (My cartoon painting, 'Moral Values,' was conceived, almost unconsciously, some 3 days after George W. Bush's 2004 re-election, and it is still one of my favorites.)
