Tarkus Legacy

On May 28, 2016 I attended The Official Keith Emerson Tribute Show in Los Angeles in honor of my hero since the age of 16, who died tragically on March 11 of that year. It was an inspired concert, and easily one of the best I’ve ever attended! Not only were my photographs of the event mainly those of record, but I later created this art for the DVD/CD release of the concert, which will be available 3/11/21. Guitarist Marc Bonilla, the shows organizer and Keith’s longtime bandmate, asked me to reimagine the iconic art of Tarkus, Emerson, Lake & Palmers 1971 groundbreaking album. This gallery is presented with the blessings and cooperation of the Keith Emerson Estate & Family, along with the good wishes of my dear friend William Neal - the artist who created the original art for ELP’s Tarkus and Pictures at an Exhibition album covers. 50% of the proceeds will go to Dystonia UK to aid in research for the disease that afflicted Keith Emerson. *PLEASE NOTE: A high quality, EPIC, one of a kind, front & back printed t-shirt is NOW available directly from my studio.
