Jim's interest in photography started on his 18th birthday when he bought his first camera, a Petri eBn 35mm fixed lens rangefinder. He used it for years on black and white film then Kodachrome slides (ASA 25). Later, Jim moved up to Nikon SLRs in the early 80’s, Kodak and Sony digitals in early 90’s, and now uses the Nikon D200, D700 and Df with a combination of lenses from 50mm thru 500mm and a Nikon Fieldscope EDIII for observing wildlife and digiscoping birds.
