Born in Tamworth New South Wales, he was interested in photography from an early age and worked in this profession for the greater part of his working career, including a stint as a Tv news cameraman for a leading news outlet. During these years he moved around the eastern part of Australia and spent time living in various places of the state of New South Wales and within the Australian Capital Territory.
