John Tompkins started out as a baby and grew from there. Strongly influenced by Saturday morning cartoons, Walt Disney feature animation, newspaper strips and a heavy dose of Bronze-age Marvel comics he shunned art classes in school because they focused on macaroni necklaces and sculpting paper weights.
