Jon was first introduced to the world of photography by his grandfather, Phillip Guarisco, who was a photographer at the New Orleans newspaper, The Times Picayune. Jon graduated from Southern Miss with a bachelors degree in Photojournalism. After graduation, Jon went to work for The Vicksburg Post, then on to the Rockford Register Star.
