Joy Saville's work is informed by color. Cotton, linen, silk and wool fabrics are used in a unique process of piecing which results in a subtle but densely textured painterly surface. Each abstract concept is developed as a personal expression or a response to a specific site. Ms. Saville was born in Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska.
