In New Orleans many of the places we frequented,, signs we saw throughout the city, etc, were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, or the businesses went out of business following that disaster. In this gallery I will be putting in photos I took prior to that date, August 29, 2005. Some of the places and things still exist; some don't. I am also including photos taken within a year following the storm. The landscape of New Orleans was greatly affected by the storm. Houses to this day can retain the markings search teams left on them during the month or so after the hurricane.
