I have been drawing and painting on and off my entire life with interruptions to pursue professional degrees and raise my family. My art 'career' began in high school, followed by a year of fine arts training at the University of Kansas; I then pursued a helping profession based in the fine arts department. Since then, I have studied with a number of local artists. My current work is with pastels, acrylics, and watercolor, and recently I have started producing mixed media pieces. I enjoy these becaus they lend themselves to more personal expression. My desire is to capture the natural beauty of God's creation as well as the poignant and precious moments of life. I enjoy doing commissionings because of the relationship that develops between the artist, the commissioner, and the painting itself.
I am currently teaching drawing and watercolor classes at the ArtRoom in Omaha, Nebraska and have had work shown at several local venues and/or galleries.
I hope you enjoy my work. Please email me with any questions or comments you might have.
