Since early in her life, Kayleigh has shown a keen interest in being creative, but started working on more advanced art in 2005. She began with simplistic pieces, like sketches of fruit and household objects, but steadily progressed to more complex projects. In the past years, she has accomplished many things, including drawing portraits of different hockey players and musicians, and has completed numerous pastels and paintings. While she has explored many different mediums of art; acrylic, pastel, and pencil drawings are her favorite. She has a gift for bringing pictures to life.
In the summer of 2009, Kayleigh won first place in the 13-17 year-old acrylic painting category in the Calgary Stampede Western Showcase as a 13- year-old. She has also received multiple first place finishes in various contests and had the privilege of being a special guest at the 2009 Lake Country ArtWalk. She also showed at the same ArtWalk in 2011, 2012, and 2013. She enjoys concerts, and, while she enjoys music, she also enjoys presenting musicians with drawings of themselves.
Her artwork has published in books 5 times. Padmè Amidala Skywalker (Lost in a Senator's Thoughs), Bono, Winter Evening, Iron Man (Black Led Avenger), and Fili the Dwarf are the pieces chosen to be published.
In her in-between time, she also loves to do photography, hair styling, digital media (graphic design, music videos), snowboarding, and surfing.
Kayleigh is a Christian and enjoys doing art for the glory of her Father and does her best to try and please him. She is created to create.
