I have a hard time calling my pictures fine art, but many people tell me that I should have some options for people to view and purchase my photos, cards, books, etc...and I think, 'Who would buy my memories and stories?'
I like to take nature and candid shots. People really aren't my thing, but I have been known to take a few that people like now and then. I would really like to do 'street photography', but haven't found the nerve to do this yet...keep pushing me and I will get there!
I do very little editing to my pictures as I mostly don't have time or the desire to make them 'perfect'. Anyone can create a memory or a story with fancy programs and settings on cameras, I like to capture my images in real time with all of their beauty and flaws.
I also don't really 'try' to get a lot of perfect pictures...I just take a lot of random shots and end up with one or two that I really like. I don't consider myself a photographer, I just like to take pictures.
My family (husband Troy, daughter Sydney, son Andrew, dogs Baby and Sam) enjoys traveling, camping and being outdoors. You will see that reflected in many of my images.
Everyone and everything has a story. I hope to capture and preserve those stories to create more than just memories.
