My works are predominantly landscapes and still lives. They show my fascination with rock formations, mountains and water. They represent private, simplified spaces derived from and inspired by nature. I like to find pleasing and repeating patterns of shapes and contrasting colors. Building rich surfaces by layering and scraping with a palette knife has become and integral part of my painting process. Oil paint lends itself for this technique.
