When considering my passion, my art, I am reminded of Merton's statement, 'Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time'. When I sit at my easel, I am most truly myself. It is an honor and a privilege to share my work, myself, with you and hope that you will find something of yourself as well... in the beauty of a child's face, in the blush of a rose's bloom, in the creases worn by time and experience. Many of my oil paintings employ the Flemish technique of the Old Masters - a series of layers utilized to create magnificent depth and luminosity. My graphite portraits are also created in a series of finely detailed layers, each building upon the last to develop not only an accurate representation of my subject, but also a multidimensional quality which breathes life into my drawing.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my art. I would be honored to hear from you and collaborate on a custom painting or portrait. Please enjoy my gallery!
