Mammoth Cave National Park
This national park has the worlds longest know cave system, and only a little over 400 miles of the cave system has been explored. The park was established on July 1, 1941, to preserve not only the cave system, but also the Green and Nolin Rivers. It also protects a small part of south central Kentucky's hill country. You can learn more about the park by visit its web site at: http://www.nps.gov/maca/index.htm
