Visual Artist from San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, currently located in San Juan. Born in October 1977. Mary Tere has been dedicated to her artwork full time since 2006. With two years of study in arts she is a self-thought artist who worked in architectural drafting for many years. That profession being part of her art proposal, that can be perceived in her Old San Juan Inspired series of paintings. Mary Tere has presented solo exhibitions, participated in art collectives, and art cultural fairs around the island. Her work is currently being sold at some art galleries in Old San Juan.
Her artwork reflects her view of what is important in her life such as love, happiness, and the beauty of what's simple and right. Also her love for bright solid colors, defined shapes and the fluent black line that wraps the composition together in harmony. She uses acrylic paint, colored pencil, oil pastel, and also loves working linocut prints.
