She has studied under the tutelage of living masters such as Richard Schmid, and has extensively studied the works of masters Edward Hopper, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Mary Cassatt, Lilla Cabot Perry, Winslow Homer, and Elisabeth-Louise Vegee-Lebrun.
