Masha has loved painting, drawing and photography since she was a child. When she was 12 years old, she created her small dark room to develop black and white pictures in a tiny apartment where she lived with her parents.
Masha started her career as an artist back in 1990s. She was successfully selling her watercolor miniatures to locals and tourists alike.
She studied in the Academy of Art and graduated with the diploma in Drawing and Composition in 2000. While studying at the Academy of Art and working for a Jewelry Company as an enameller, Masha finished her web design classes successfully graduating in 2001. Shortly after that she decided to learn more about her passion, the art photography, and she became a professional photographer. She worked many years for a Jeweler Magazine creating photographs for billboards, and advertisements. Her works were widely distributed not only through this magazine but also throughout advertising system on billboards, posters, and now are published in books related to jewelry business.
Masha's love to painting opened a new door to her creativity at the turn of the 21st century. Painting with different mediums such oil, acrylic, and watercolor resulted in many beautiful artworks that are now selling as originals and available as prints on https://masha-batkova.pixels.com/. Some of them, for example, her Flying Bird watercolor painting was selected by editors for a cover of the magazine Natural Awakening, and a black & white drawing Our Quiet Life, was selected by film producers to participate in the interior decor of the movie 12 Strong. In California, she recently showed her artworks at the galleries of Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Brentwood, Richmond, and San Ramon.

Masha Batkova joined Fine Art America on November 14th, 2010.
