Maury Hurt is a true Florida artist. He was born in Orlando in 1934 and has lived there his entire life. After graduating from the University of Florida with a bachelor of design degree in 1956, he worked in graphic design for several years until he decided to give up his partnership in the firm and become a full-time painter.
