Michael was born in Montreal in 1965 to parents who were both artistically inclined. Michael’s mother, a nurse by trade, was a very talented painter. Michael’s father, a chartered accountant, was dissatisfied with his profession and often sought satisfaction in photography. Michael spent his childhood surrounded by his parent’s art and he gained an appreciation for both photography and painting.
