Born and raised in the DMV by Deaf parents, Naja spent much of her childhood seeking out animal friends, reading and drawing when she was not following her two older sisters around. Naja has always had great rapport with children and loved learning, so she got a degree in Elementary Education from University of Maryland. After marrying the love of her life, Naja was offered a teaching position at Maryland School for the Deaf working with young deaf students.
