Ms. Maine has been painting in oil since the 1960's. She attended Rhode Island College and Rhode Island School of design. During the 1970's she worked for the Smithsonian Institution's National Portrait gallery. She studied with various artists including Frank Mason, portrait painter, of the prestigious New York Art Student's League, John Bryan's, Washington, D.C., and Frances McCrae of Alexandria, VA and Nova Scotia.
