Nancy Overbury is known for creating rich deeply textured works of deep buttery impasto and thin translucent glazes of paint. She uses spatulas and found objects to emulate depth and to capture movement and feeling. Despite earning two degrees in Fine Arts, she considers her most valuable art lessons were learned while studying a summer at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nîmes, France.
