I am an internationally-published Fine Art Photographer.
In 1959 I was born in the city I live: The Capital of Scotland.
Edinburgh has a richness to any visitor and if you should happen along, please feel free to contact this photographer - I take images all over the Lothians and elsewhere (usually in Scotland). I have been in 14 foreign countries - though, with a dog (a collie, currently) travel is somewhat limited!
My Dad held the highest Master's Ticket and though he was a ship's Captain in his earlier years, the life I knew most was as a Pilot at Granton. This - and because we used to live nearby - is possibly why I shoot so many photographs in Leith. Mum was from Shetland, where my Father's Parents were born. Sadly, I lost my Dad and then Mum to heart disease: Angina took Dad in 1985; and Mum had a (third) heart attack in 2004.
I have been married since 1989 and my wife Lorna is gorgeous. She works in a store in a classier part of Southern Edinburgh. I bought Mum a dog - a Jack Russell cross and it extended Mum's life for four years before we took him on full-time after she died. We bought another 'rescue' dog (Brodie) a few months after Alfie was put to sleep. He's a Border Collie and he 'came' with the name.
I have four tertiary qualifications with two levels in Graphic Design; Advertising Design (Copywriting - possibly 'explaining' my varied titles?) and in Photography. I hope my training shows.
Yes, my nose really IS that big. More's the pity.
