I am a self-thought artist currently living in the city of Patras, Greece, and spending quite a lot of time in a small village, Kampi, in Zakynthos Island (Ionian Sea). As a child, I was more attracted by mathematics, physics and chemistry. After getting my degree in physics, at the age of 25, I started to feel that I was missing something - a way to express the emotion and excitement I feel for small things of everyday life, such as the sea colors or the beauty of a bloom. Everything starts with my enthusiasm for a new place waiting to be discovered, for the bright colors of a flower, or for an interesting pattern in nature. Most of the times I do a fast drawing on location and take a few reference pictures to help me evoke the same feelings in the studio. I feel most happy when I pass this enthusiasm through my paintings.
