The Painted Mermaid Gallery represents the artwork of owner/artist Brenda Ellis Sauro and metal sculpture by husband/ artist Michael Sauro. Michael Sauro is a self-taught recycling artist using the shapes and aged patina of discarded metal items to create his unique assemblages. Brenda exhibits her original mermaid art, oil paintings and hand-hooked rugs in the studio next to the gallery where she also teaches classes in oil painting and rug hooking.more
