I was born to bohemian parents, both talented artists. Growing up, I could draw and paint well, but I rebelled against fine art, preferring crafts. I learned jewelry making, beadwork, and clothing design. After my mother's death, I decided to try to paint, as my mother had always encouraged me to, as a way to feel closer to her and to heal my sadness.
