Central Texas artist Pam Hurst recently moved back to her home town of Cleburne
where she has her home studio. She has been painting for thirty years, having grown
up surrounded by arts and craft projects she gained a world of experence and desire
to create art. Her parents are artisans of woodwork and antique restoration. Primarily
self-taught with a natural vocation Hurst started painting murals across the state. Numerous
commissions resulted in a diverse body of work and clientele. Murals in lobbies of the
Best Western and Classic Inn's of Texas can still be seen.
Her fine art watercolors and oil painting have been exhibited in many galleries,
competitive shows and been the recipient of several Best of Show and Best of Professional.
They are also included in private collection throughout the U.S. Pam gives watercolor instruction
for children and adult organizations and taught art at Paradigm Acellerated High School.
Having earned certification in graphic arts from Paradigm Professional Institute she did precision
illustration, page layout and template design for Paradigm Curriculum.
Time was divided raising two children, farm and ranching with husband Mike. Living in the country
was an inspiration for many landscape paintings. Continuing to pursue growth in painting,
philosophy being, Art as beauty, uplifting, inspiring a positive perspective and allowing the viewer
the ability to find their own personal perspective.
