Phillip Gomez (b. May 22, 1967) is a multi media artist. He has pieces in textile, pen and ink and photography. The textile pieces consist of quilts, afghans and scarfs. The pen and ink are abstract and the content of the pieces are from favorite places and things.
He attended The Art Institute of Houston and after completing his degree in Visual Communications, lived in Houston for four years then moved to Santa Clara, CA. Where he resided for three years before moving to Los Gatos, CA. He lived there for 7 years and then moved to Santa Cruz, CA where he resides now.
His interest in textiles began with the adoption of two boys in 2001. One boy had an interest and they took a class together and Phillip has been quilting ever since. Most of his works in textile have been gifted or donated to organizations for fundraising.
His pen and ink has evolved over the years and Phillip like to refer to these as his doodles.
Most of his photography pieces are from Europe and others here in the Americas.
