Poole Vintage Collection is an online gallery featuring images from a profound vintage art archive.
The majority of works were created by Robert J. Poole between the 1930s-early 1940s.
Robert (Bob Poole) attended Cornish Art School Seattle WA, Art Center Los Angeles CA, Chouinard Art School Los Angeles CA and Pasadena School of Art CA.
Bob built a career as a commercial artist illustrating for companies including Lockheed Aircraft, Douglas Aircraft, Sunkist, Carnation, and So Cal Gas Co. He was a member of the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles through which he became part of the United States Air Force Art Program. 9 of his military focused paintings remain at the Pentagon today.
Talent ran rampant in the Poole family bloodstream as Bob's mother (Agnes) brothers (Edward and Phil) and great niece (Odessa) have all produced notable works of art in their time. Some of their images will be included in this gallery. Please check back frequently, as we will continue adding more.
