Valley of Fire - Wash 5 SE Far
Valley of Fire State Park is located about 50 miles North of Las Vegas. It's one of my favorite places to photograph. Most popular places have a few spots where everyone stands to take the same picture, and some get lucky with weather and light. In Valley of Fire, there seem like infinite possibilities for creating artistic images. I've taken so many images over the years that I had to divide them up geographically to be able to manage them. These images were found by parking on the cement slabs for Wash 5 and walking West. I've gotten so many images from the SE quadrant of Wash 5 that I've split them up into Near, Mid and Far galleries. These Far images can be found by walking 1/3 to a 1/2 mile NE and E in Wash 5, and then heading uphill to the South. They can also be accessed by walking NE and then E from the parking area of Wash 3.
