Rita Silva started off drawing as pretty much all of us did, in the walls of her house as a child. She now has a graduation in Graphic Design and post-graduations in Design (Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias) and in Illustration /Drawing (Fine Arts School in Lisbon).
After working for different companies as an illustrator, 2D and 3D animator and videogames concept artist, she then decided to create her own indie studio, ending up creating a refreshing puzzle game called Vizati - Winner of numerous awards including 1º Prize at Microsoft XNA Pizza Night 2010.

For these past years she counts with a few number of exhibitions, games released and during summer and winter of 2014/15 she was able to work as part of one of the largest privately owned art dealers in the world – Park West Gallery - meeting international artists, like Alfred Gockel, David Najar, Lebo, as well as getting an in depth knowledge of works by the masters such as Picasso, Chagall, Rembrandt, Miró and Goya.

Regarding her art she says: 'I like to be able to mix all the different art that I love. Illustration, animation, photography, visual effects and music.'
Although she works with a platter of techniques (such as graphite, scraperboard, acrylic, digital art and much more) watercolor it’s her favorite.
Rita Silva wants her artworks to be the collectors escape route to all of the daily stress. As Picasso once said 'Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life'.

Rita Silva joined Fine Art America on October 16th, 2015.
